Q: With so many carpet cleaners to choose from, how do I know who to choose?
A: It can be confusing without some basic knowledge of the carpet cleaning methods and pricing tactics. People are often hit with low priced advertising deals. The problem is simple. First, in almost every case there is an add on price increases beyond what was advertised. This gets them in the door. After agreeing to pay the increased price, you later discover the poor quality. Big companies especially work at a fast pace so they can get to the next job.
Q: Can you explain why I find that once my carpets were cleaned, they seem to stay wet for a long time and need to be cleaned again in the near future?
A: That is true with many cleaning methods because soap or chemical residue attracts soil. These residues must be completely extracted so the appearance of your carpeting can be bright. If you don't extract the carpet after a rotary shampoo, then the soil will resurface later.
Q: What cleaning method do you recommend?
A: At Revival we prefer the rotary shampoo method with wet/dry extraction. Although in some cases steam can be good they usually over wet, don't scrub, and this can cause mold or dry rot on the backing of the carpeting.
